Blood system products

INESSS conducts evaluations of blood system products used in the treatment of certain disorders due to an imbalance in the circulatory system or certain specific diseases. These evaluations lead to recommendations regarding the relevance of maintaining or adding the products to the Liste des produits du système du sang du Québec [blood products list].

To address the needs of the Ministère de la Santé et des Services Sociaux (MSSS) [Ministry of Health and Social Services], the Institut national d’excellence en santé et en services sociaux (INESSS) has developed a blood system product evaluation process that determines which products will be added to the provincial blood products list.
